Hilton Berlin

The Hilton Berlin is located across from one of the most beautiful historical squares in Germany the Gendarmenmarkt situated in the district of Mitte. The hotel is a perfect location if you are in town for business or attending a event at the hotel.

The hotel also has a reasonable number of facilities for an inner-city location with a 800 m² Health Club with 24 hour fitness center, Sauna & Indoor pool.

When you checkin to the hotel you should inquire about the costs to use these health facilities as some have an additional charge.

The hotel is just moments from the Französischer Dom “French Cathedral” and the Deutscher Dom “German Cathedral” the second of which was completely destroyed during World War 2 by a fire in 1945 and rebuilt and re-opened in 1996.

The hotel is close to most of the cities major attractions such as Brandenburg Gate “Brandenburg Tor”, Check Point Charlie, Reichstag “Rijksdaggebouw” and the Berlin Wall memorial.

If you are feeling like draining the bank balance it’s also nearby plenty of shopping options including the world famous Kurfürstendamm the largest shopping street in Berlin that stretches over 3.5kms. The hotel was a perfect location for exploring the city but also for the gala event I attended in the hotel ballroom.

My Hilton Berlin Room

I found my hotel room was quite comfortable, it featured a large comfortable bed a decent sized working desk and a large LCD TV. Sadly I was on a lower floor so my views of the city was basically another building opposite the hotel. I stayed here in April 2015 in a Single Hilton Guestroom.
