Lufthansa Middle East Flight & Travel Updates

Due to the current situation in the Middle East, Lufthansa Group airlines will suspend flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman, Erbil, Dammam, and Tehran until March 8.

The following airspaces will also not be used until March 8: Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, and Iran.

In addition, Lufthansa Group airlines will suspend flights to and from Dubai until March 4. Furthermore, the airspace of the United Arab Emirates will not be used until March 4.

Lufthansa guests due to travel are advised to:

  • Check their flight status at Lufthansa.com before travelling to the airport
  • Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking
  • Guests on all LHG flights to TLV, AMM, BEY, EBL and DMM until March 8 and to DXB until March 4, 2026 that have already been cancelled may request a full refund at Help Center | Lufthansa or through their travel agent or a rebooking on any later LHG operated flight.   • Guests holding LHG tickets to these destinations issued on or before March 1, 2026, that have not been cancelled yet with original travel dates up to March 15, 2026, may rebook free of charge onto any LHG-operated flights up to March 31, 2026 or refund their ticket.   • Guests who booked through a travel agent should contact their agent directly

Lufthansa also want to highlight that the situation remains dynamic and schedules may change at short notice. Lufthansa continues to work in close coordination with the relevant authorities and will resume normal operations as soon as conditions allow for it.

Rebooking and additional information         

In the event of a cancellation, Lufthansa will rebook you free of charge and usually automatically to another flight and inform you via your mobile phone number. If you do not receive a message from Lufthansa, please check the current status of your booking. Here you can rebook yourself at a later date or have the ticket refunded. Alternatively, you can also use the Lufthansa Chatbot.
