Be warned the convenience store next door to the hostel is not the place to buy anything but the most essential and I mean essential item as the prices are something closer to highway robbery! Walk 5 minutes down the road to Woolworths and buy your toiletry or grocery items there as you will save a heap of money! I repeat again do not be lazy and buy anything at the nearby convenience store, the staff are rude and treated me like an idiot.  He assumed I didn’t speak English because of how I look and was quite rude but did almost fall over backwards when he heard my Australian accent and he almost showed a hint of embarrassment. I paid about 3 times the price of the same item I could have bought at Woolworths or Coles so was not impressed.
