HCM airport is something close to organised chaos at times and checkin for VietJet Air 322 was along those same lines, expect locals to push their way around to try and check-in before you if you give them the chance.
I opted for basically every upgrade I could buy which included exit row seat and additional luggage and it was still one of the cheapest flights I’ve had for a long time costing just 1.8 million VND for the return flight.
The aircraft was fairly basic and I would recommend bringing your own food aboard if you get can’t hold off eating for more than 1 hour flight VJ322 takes.
When flying out of Phu Quoc back to Ho Chi Minh there is not much at the airport in terms of touristy items so consider buying them in town. There is a handful of places you can buy some last minute tourist items but there is not much after you pass through customs.
Also remember you are not allowed to export Fish Sauce so if you have any in your bags don’t be surprised if customs confiscate it before you board your flight. Phu Quoc is famous for it’s fish sauce but it’s not possible to carry it out of the island in your luggage on commercial flights.
