Q) Where can I find the current entry regulations for our destination?
A) You’ll find an overview of the entry regulations for several countries on the IATA (International Air Transport Association) website. However, Lufthansa cannot assume any liability for the accuracy of this information.
Q) Are there enough opportunities for hand sanitizing at the airport and on board? Should I bring additional disinfectant?
A) There are several opportunities to use the disinfectant dispensers at the airport. On board your Lufthansa flight, antiviral disinfecting wipes will be distributed. You’re welcome to bring additional disinfectants, if they do not exceed the limitations for liquids in your carry-on baggage (less than 100 ml per container, with a maximum of one liter per person).
Q) Can I still expect to receive a blanket and headphones on long-haul flights?
A) Yes, there will still be blankets and headphones on long-haul Lufthansa flights, however, pillows will not be available at this time.
Q) Will blankets be distributed on short and medium-haul flights?
A) On Lufthansa flights, blankets will only be distributed in Business Class and only on overnight flights.
Q) What are the current regulations concerning drinks and snacks?
A) Snacks will be distributed on flights that are between 151 and 179 minutes in length. If your flight is longer than 50 minutes, you’ll receive a water bottle on board. The full onboard service will take place on Lufthansa flights longer than 150 minutes. Our service frequency has not changed.
Q) Are families still eligible for pre-boarding?
A) If you are travelling with children under the age of six, you’ll be eligible for pre-boarding your Lufthansa flight. Please tell Lufthansa team in advance if you would like to take advantage of this option.
Q) Can I still get baby food on board?
A) Yes, baby food is still available on board your Lufthansa flight.
Q) Are there any additional hygiene products available at the changing tables, such as disposable changing mats, disinfectant wipes, etc.?
A) There aren’t any additional hygiene products available at the changing tables, however, disinfectant wipes will be distributed among all Lufthansa guests in the beginning of the flight.
Q) Can I still have my baby’s food warmed up?
A) Yes, you can still have your baby’s food warmed up on board Lufthansa flights.
Q) Do children have to wear a face mask at the airport and on board?
A) Children under the age of six are allowed to travel without wearing a face mask on Lufthansa flights, however, older children should wear a face mask at the airport and on board.
Q) Are children’s menus currently available?
A) Children’s and baby menus are available as usual on most flights, however, there are exceptions on some of our Lufthansa routes, like between India and Dubai, for example.
Q) Do you still distribute toys, coloring books, jigsaw puzzles etc. to keep children entertained on board?
A) Yes, we still hand out toys on board. There are exceptions on a few routes, such as Lufthansa flights between India and Dubai, for example.
Q) Is the in-flight entertainment available?
A) Yes, our in-flight entertainment is available as usual.
Q) Do you still have companion services for children travelling alone?
A) From now on we can again accept bookings of the Unaccompanied Minor Service on our direct connections.
Q) Can I use the Unaccompanied Minor Service, if I have already booked it?
A) Should you already have a confirmed booking including Unaccompanied Minor Service for your child, it is still valid. Unfortunately, an Unaccompanied Minor Service for connecting flights is not yet available. Should you already have a confirmed booking including Unaccompanied Minor Service for your child on connecting flights, you are kindly asked to contact the Service Center immediately.
